CELEBRATE JERSEY CITY PRIDE

Mayor Steven Fulop and the Mayor’s LGBTQ+ Taskforce with Hudson Pride Center and the Jersey City LGBTQ+ Pride Festival

In July we celebrated the 21st anniversary of Jersey City Pride. The community came together and repainted the Pride street mural, “Unity,” by artists Avery Nice and Robert Avila (KnightDweller) in front of City Hall.

Later that week we proudly raised the LGBTQ+ flag with the Mayor and city dignitaries. All that week Jersey City honored the LGBTQ+ community with lights on City Hall. Participants marched from 280 Grove Street to the Newark Pedestrian Plaza for the Pride Festival where there was singing, dancing and comedy on the Plaza.
